Zero-Projekt FAQIf you got more questions feel free to post them here and the team will answer them.
1. What is the "Zero-Projekt?"Zero-Projekt is an independent game development project created by cRPG & Fallout fans. Our aim is to create a new "computer Role Playing Game" (cRPG).
2. There is another game that uses the same name, isn't it?That's right. There is already a game called Project: Zero. However Zero-Projekt is the working title not the official name for the final product. Up to the present we are searching for a final title of the game, but we simply call it "Zero" internally.
3. What's the theme of "Zero"?The player will be transferred into a post-nuclear Germany. Our aim is to create a cRPG that is true to games likes Fallout or Planescape: Torment. That means we'll include "choice and consequence" and multiple ways to solve quests wherever possible.
4. How much will be final product?"Zero" is a non-commercial project. Although we are investing a lot of time to develop it in a serious and professional manner, it will be free for all players.
5. Which requierements will "Zero-Projekt" have? We'll be using the FIFengine which is currently in development too. So it's difficult to say which requirements you'll need to fulfil to play the final product. We expect that "Zero" works on low-performance computers too as FIFE both supports SDL and OpenGL rendering modes.
6. What is FIFE?FIFE is an open source 2D game engine - you can find more information here:
http://www.fifengine.de7. When will be "Zero" released? At the moment there is no set release date.
8. What's the current development status of "Zero"?We were be forced to reorganize the whole project some time ago. Some content had to be created from scratch, for example parts of the story and the character system. That means we're still in the preproduction process.
9. Is "Zero" a Fallout clone? No. In the past it was planned to create a game that is based on the Fallout franchise, but now we`re developing a complete new world and so "Zero" will be an independent game.
10. Will there be Fallout content used?Fallout and other games inspired us to start working on Zero. It's intended that the player feel this kind of inspiration. But we won't use Fallout content directly. (And we are not allowed to, too. Interplay forbid us to use any Fallout content when we mailed them)
11. Is "Zero - Was vom Morgen blieb" open source?Due to a few discussions outside of the team, this will be reconsidered. We let you know as soon as we made a final decision here.
12. Is the media of "Zero - Was vom Morgen blieb" open source / under a free licence?Due to a few discussions outside of the team, this will be reconsidered. We let you know as soon as we made a final decision here.
13. Can I help translating Zero?Sure

As soon as we go for a release, we would be glad to provide Zero in other languages then German and English. Just contact us and leave an email adress. At the moment, we don't have all *.po files finished - but as soon as they contain all the needed strings, we will send them out to the translators.
14. How do I translate Zero?We are using GNU gettext for localisation, so it's quite a "simple" task - you just need an editor like PoEdit. Start it, translate from English to your language - and that's it
